about

Hi, I'm Josh.

I'm a software engineer and engineering manager based in Cincinnati, Ohio. I studied Computer Science at Miami University, and before code I ran A/V and theatre tech — which is a fancy way of saying I've always liked making the machinery behind the show actually work. These days I'm building AI coaching at Cloverleaf (opens in a new tab) by day.

By night and most weekends, I ship side projects. A meetup planner, a tool for streamers, an AI driver's-ed product, a one-command server setup kit — some take off, some get parked, and I keep a running log of all of it. I'm an ENTJ, so I tend to pick a direction fast, build the thing, and adjust in public rather than plan it to death.

The throughline is simple: invest in yourself, do the work where people can see it, and share what you learned along the way. That's the whole ethos behind "Copy Josh" — a friendly invitation to take what's useful here and reuse it. If something I built or wrote saves you an afternoon, that's a win for both of us.
